Central Bank to Initiate Regular Dialogue with Business Community

The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) has announced the institutionalization of regular dialogues with representatives of the business community, marking a new era in its relationship with the economy. The aim of the initiative is to closely monitor sectoral developments, gather information from stakeholders, and utilize opinions to shape policies. The dialogues will be held with representatives of associations and organizations from key sectors of the economy, such as industry, financial services, tourism, and technology. The results of the discussions will be made public, enhancing the transparency and accountability of the CBC. The Governor of the CBC, Christodoulos Patsalides, emphasized the importance of continuous communication with key economic stakeholders, stressing that regular meetings will contribute to more targeted policy-making and strengthen trust. The first meeting is scheduled for February 27, 2026, and will focus on the challenges and prospects of the Cypriot economy. This initiative is expected to strengthen cooperation between the CBC and the business community, contributing to economic growth and stability.
