Christodoulides-Netanyahu Discuss Electricity Interconnection and Defense Cooperation

The President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, held a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, during which they discussed the implementation of agreements reached at recent meetings, such as the Israel-Cyprus electricity interconnection as part of the India-Middle East Economic Corridor (IMEC). The discussion also focused on promoting cooperation in the energy sector and defense cooperation between the two countries. Additionally, the two leaders referred to the progress of the US peace plan for Gaza. Both sides reaffirmed the strategic importance of Cyprus-Israel relations and their commitment to continued cooperation.
