Clashes Between Iranians Outside Mosque in London Between Pro-Regime and Pro-Monarchists – 17-Year-Old Injured

Violent clashes broke out outside the Islamic Centre of England in Maida Vale, London, between Iranians supporting the regime of Khamenei and others demonstrating in favor of the monarchy. A 17-year-old was injured in the head during the incidents. Police are investigating the incident. The pro-monarchy demonstrators carried flags used before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, as well as flags of Israel and the United States. Supporters of the regime gathered near the mosque and began exchanging verbal insults with the other demonstrators. Tension escalated quickly and the two groups clashed, resulting in the injury of the 17-year-old. Police arrived at the scene and dispersed the crowd, with no arrests made. The Islamic Centre has been at the center of controversy in the past between supporters and opponents of the Iranian regime. The mosque had caused controversy by hosting a vigil in memory of Iran's Supreme Religious Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, following recent air strikes.
