Commitment for National Cancer Institute Bill to be Submitted Before Parliament Closure

The Parliamentary Committee on Health has committed to submitting the bill for the establishment of the National Cancer Institute for a vote before the closure of Parliament. The Committee Chairman, Evthimios Diplaros, announced an emergency session on Monday to complete the discussion of the bill. The bill, which is a request from patient organizations and medical centers, provides for the creation of an agency that will coordinate efforts to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. MPs expressed their satisfaction with the development and pledged to support the passage of the bill.
