Complaints Filed Over 'Direct Democracy' Party Elections – Vote Investigation Sought

Members of the 'Direct Democracy Cyprus' party have filed an official complaint with the Election Committee, challenging the legitimacy of the process for electing a President and selecting parliamentary candidates. The complainants, Adam Christodoulou, Aristophanes Avraam, and Lellos Iordanou, cite serious procedural irregularities, lack of transparency, and legal issues. The complaint includes 26 points, questioning the security of the network, the existence of a 'moving' list of members during the vote, the absence of regulations for conducting elections, and the lack of supervision. Additionally, questions are raised regarding possible funding of the Agora platform from European programs, the holding of contests and gifts that may have influenced the vote, and potential conflicts of interest between candidates and those responsible for the electoral process. The complainants argue that articles of the Statute relating to the rights of members and the election process were violated. They request the immediate preservation of all voting data, the annulment of the election, and recourse to the courts to protect their rights.
