Construction of Water Reservoirs Progressing in Limassol

The Limassol Provincial Administration Organization (LPOA) is rapidly advancing the construction of a series of water reservoirs aimed at strengthening the province's water supply capacity. The Sykamino reservoir, with a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters, has already been completed and is operational, while work on the Polemidia, Germasogeia, and Agia Fyla reservoirs is at an advanced stage and is expected to be completed by the first half of next year. Specifically, the Polemidia reservoir (2,000 cubic meters) is expected to be completed in March 2026, while the Germasogeia (4,000 cubic meters) and Agia Fyla (800 cubic meters) reservoirs are expected to be completed in May 2026. The projects include the construction of skeletons, the installation of pipelines and hydraulic components, as well as infrastructure upgrades. The total cost of the projects is estimated at 75 million euros and is considered a significant investment to meet the province's growing water needs.
