Cyprus Fire Service Responds to 43 Incidents Due to Severe Weather

The Cyprus Fire Service responded to a total of 43 incidents across the island due to severe weather conditions. These incidents primarily involved fallen trees, displacement of objects due to strong winds, water pumping, vehicle towing, and sparking electrical wires. The most interventions were recorded in the province of Larnaca (18), followed by Limassol (9), Nicosia (8), Famagusta (4), and Paphos (3). The Paralimni-Deryneia Municipality handled 14 incidents, while the EAC dealt with 5 sparking wire incidents. The EMAK intervened in one incident involving a tree on a vehicle. Authorities are urging the public to be particularly careful due to the hazardous weather conditions.
