Cyprus Government Condemns Organized Crime, Vows Action After Larnaaca Incident

The Cyprus Government expresses its concern and determination to tackle organized crime, following the serious incidents in Larnaaca and the general increase in criminal activity. Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letympiotis described the images from the incidents as “appalling and infuriating”, emphasizing that the situation cannot be tolerated. He referred to President Christodoulides' statements regarding the arrest, deportation, and inclusion of foreigners on exclusion lists in the event of involvement in incidents. The need to strengthen law enforcement and develop a sense of security among citizens was highlighted.
