Cyprus on Alert as Middle East Tensions Rise; Meetings Postponed

Cyprus is on high alert due to the crisis in the Middle East. Sirens sounded in Akrotiri earlier today, however, the threat was soon lifted. Three drone attacks have been carried out, with one hitting the British Base in Akrotiri. The Cypriot government is strengthening the country's defenses with the help of European countries, while Greece has already sent F-16s and frigates. The situation is being closely monitored and EU meetings scheduled in Cyprus will be held online or rescheduled. Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos stated that there are no immediate expectations for an end to the conflict.
