Cyprus President Visits Egypt for Energy Talks
The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, is visiting Egypt today to participate in the EGYPES 2026 energy exhibition and conference. As part of the visit, he will hold a bilateral meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, where bilateral relations and regional developments will be discussed. President Christodoulides will also participate in the opening ceremony of the conference and will have meetings with representatives of TOTAL/Energies. Together with President Sisi, they will visit the exhibition areas of Egypt and Cyprus. The President's visit to Egypt is a significant opportunity to strengthen cooperation in the energy sector and promote energy security and sustainable development in the Mediterranean region. The President is accompanied by the Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Michalis Damianou, and government officials.
