Cyprus Repatriates 11,742 Irregular Migrants in 2025

The Cyprus Police announced that 11,742 irregular migrants were repatriated in 2025 through voluntary and compulsory return procedures. This figure is higher than the 10,092 individuals repatriated in 2024. Simultaneously, 2,444 irregular migrants arrived in Cyprus in 2025, a significantly lower number compared to the 6,109 arrivals in 2024 and the 17,434 in 2022. The Police believe that the strategy followed over the past three years is yielding positive results in managing migration flows and state that efforts to locate and repatriate irregular migrants continue daily.
