Cyprus Takes the Helm of the European Council Presidency

The Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Marilena Raouna, inaugurated the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU with an address in Nicosia, attended by prominent leaders and officials. Raouna emphasized Cyprus's role as a bridge between Europe and the Middle East, as well as the need for unity, resilience, and a common vision within the EU. She highlighted that Cyprus, as the last divided capital of Europe, carries a great European soul and is ready to assume the responsibility of the Presidency. The ceremony was inaugurated with an artistic program showcasing culture as a common language and source of unity. Cyprus is committed to acting as a bridge between member states, institutions, and visions for a future of reunification and peace.
