Erhurman: "Those who produce will not be lost" - Support for Producers

The Turkish Cypriot leader, Tufan Erhurman, stated at the general assembly of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Industry that those who produce will not be lost, emphasizing the importance of production for the existence of the Turkish Cypriot "people". He stressed the need to support producers, acknowledging the difficulties they face due to rising costs and lack of predictability. Mr. Erhurman expressed optimism that 2026 will be a year of rebirth for Turkish Cypriots, calling for an opening to the international community and the protection of their existence through production. He highlighted the need for cooperation and awareness that everyone is in the same "boat", facing difficult conditions. Specifically, he mentioned that the destination must be determined, plans and programs created, and predictability offered to producers. He reiterated his commitment that Turkish Cypriots will continue to produce and reside in Cyprus. In addition, Mr. Erhurman held a meeting with academics and experts in areas such as maritime jurisdiction, energy, and the Middle East, stating that they will continue to exchange views and jointly study the processes.
