Ethio-Cyprus Investment Forum Paves the Way for Investment Cooperation

The Ethio-Cyprus Investment Forum 2026, held in Nicosia on March 13, 2026, aimed to promote investment cooperation between Ethiopia and Cyprus. The forum, organized by the Ethiopian Embassy and the Honorary Consul of Ethiopia in Cyprus, brought together entrepreneurs, investors, government officials, and representatives from various sectors. Discussions focused on potential collaborations in key economic areas, including agriculture, minerals, pharmaceuticals, energy, information technology, tourism, infrastructure, shipping, and financial services. Representatives from the Ethiopian Investment Commission presented the investment opportunities offered by the country, as well as incentives for foreign investment. The event was welcomed by the Honorary Consul of Ethiopia in Cyprus, Mr. Harry Anagnostaras-Adams, and the Ethiopian Ambassador to Cyprus, Ms. Demitu Hambisa Bonsa, with participation from Mr. Stelios Makrygiannis, Head of the Africa Department of the Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs. All speakers emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations. Mr. Anagnostaras-Adams stated that the forum is a significant step towards building stronger ties between the two countries, promoting sustainable investments and long-term economic cooperation based on mutual respect and common interests. The forum is expected to be a starting point for new business collaborations and trade agreements.
