EU Cannot Accept Violations of International Law, Says Costa

European Council President Antonio Costa stated that the European Union cannot accept violations of international law, citing examples such as Cyprus, Latin America, Greenland, Ukraine, and Gaza. During his speech at the inauguration of the Cypriot Presidency of the EU Council, he emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine and promoting European integration. Costa reiterated that Europe will remain a steadfast defender of international law, stressing that the Russian invasion of Ukraine is a blatant violation of it. He also expressed the EU's support for the people of Greenland and emphasized that any decision regarding its future must be made by Denmark and Greenland.
