Eurostat: Gender Employment Gap Increased in Cyprus

According to Eurostat data, the gender employment gap in Cyprus increased in 2024 by 2.3 percentage points compared to 2014, reaching 7.7%. Eurostat reports that women are more involved in part-time employment and temporary contracts. At the EU level, the employment gap is 10 percentage points, with Italy, Greece and Romania showing the largest gaps. In contrast, Finland, Lithuania and Estonia have the smallest gaps.
