Eva Schloss, Holocaust survivor and stepsister of Anne Frank, has died at the age of 96 in London. Schloss was a co-founder of the Anne Frank Trust, dedicating her life to conveying the memory of the Holocaust to younger generations and fighting against prejudice. Her family expressed their deep sorrow at the loss of this remarkable woman. Schloss and her family hid from the Nazis in Amsterdam, but were betrayed and sent to Auschwitz, where she lost her father and brother. After the war, she settled in London and devoted her life to education and remembrance of the Holocaust.
