Fifth Memorial Service Held for Socrates Hasikos

The fifth memorial service for Socrates Hasikos, former Minister of Interior and Defense, and former Executive Director of Omega, was held. At the Church of Saint Nicholas, relatives, friends, colleagues and the public paid tribute to his memory. Averof Neofytou and Ionas Nicolaou emphasized the importance of Hasikos's straightforwardness, honesty and clear political stance, especially regarding the Cyprus issue. Socrates Hasikos passed away in April 2021 after a battle with cancer, leaving behind a rich legacy and ethos. Attendees expressed their sorrow over the loss of an important figure for Cyprus.
