Firefighting Helicopters Arrive in Paphos for Summer Season

Two Black Hawk firefighting helicopters have arrived in Paphos, with two more Sikorsky-type helicopters expected to arrive soon, to strengthen Cyprus's ability to deal with fires during the summer season. The new helicopters have large-capacity water tanks, unlike the previous Russian Kamov 32s which used buckets. Training for the crews has begun on the data and procedures of Cyprus, so that they are fully prepared to deal with fires. The arrival of the helicopters is earlier than last year, which will contribute to better planning and operation of operational plans.
