First Lady's Resignation from Social Support Foundation Confirmed

The First Lady, Philippa Karsera Christodoulidi, has announced her irrevocable decision to resign from her position as President of the Independent Social Support Foundation (ISSF). The Foundation's Administrative Committee expressed its regret and attempted to persuade her to reconsider, as they believe her departure will negatively impact the organization's work. However, Mrs. Christodoulidi insisted on her decision, emphasizing the importance of ensuring scholarships for eligible students. The Foundation has 1,800 scholarship applications pending. The committee will recommend to the Minister of Finance to ensure the continuation of the application evaluation process and the allocation of funds to beneficiaries. Furthermore, allegations aimed at damaging the Foundation's work and credibility have been denied, while transparency in donations has been confirmed.
