Fraudulent Messages Impersonating the GESY Continue to Circulate

The Cybercrime Subdivision has recently received numerous reports of suspicious messages impersonating the GESY (Cyprus Health Insurance System). These messages falsely claim there is an issue with logging into the GESY portal and prompt recipients to click a malicious link to fix it. The link leads to a phishing website designed to steal login credentials. Police are warning the public to be extremely cautious and not respond to such messages or links. They also advise citizens never to disclose their personal information or passwords to anyone. If you receive a suspicious message, police recommend verifying its authenticity before taking any action. If you have already clicked the link and entered your credentials, you should change your password immediately and secure your account. Furthermore, police recommend using different passwords for each online service you use. This will help protect your accounts in the event that one of your passwords is compromised.
