Frontex: Irregular Arrivals in the European Union Decreased by 26% in 2023

Frontex announced that irregular arrivals in the European Union decreased by more than a quarter last year, reaching the lowest level since 2021. According to the EU border agency, nearly 178,000 irregular border crossings were recorded, a number less than half compared to 2023. This decrease indicates increased effectiveness in border control and combating illegal immigration.
