Government Policies in Action: Cyprus' Progress and Priorities

The Christodoulides Government is presenting the results of its three-year term, emphasizing the implementation of its Governance Program with planning and consistency. Key priorities include security, defense, foreign policy, the economy, and addressing climate change. Cyprus is taking over the presidency of the EU Council during a period of geopolitical upgrade, thanks to strategic partnerships with countries such as the USA, the UAE, the United Kingdom, France, and Greece. In the defense sector, the Cypriot defense industry is being strengthened and the European SAFE program is being utilized to enhance defensive capabilities. Simultaneously, measures are being taken to address climate change and manage migration effectively, with arrivals decreasing and returns increasing. The economy is performing exceptionally well, leading to upgrades from international rating agencies and a reduction in public debt.
