A 45-year-old man has been arrested as a suspect in the murder of 51-year-old Kostas Alexandris, president of the Lithovouni community in Aetoloakarnania. The perpetrator claims he shot the victim in a panic, after seeing him point a gun at him from inside the car. However, police authorities are questioning this version of events and are investigating the possibility of a romantic motive. According to information, the perpetrator and the victim had personal differences that may be related to a woman. Alexandris was found dead inside his car, after losing control and falling into a ravine following the shooting. A weapon was also found in the victim's car, suggesting that he was also armed. The perpetrator contacted the authorities and stated that he was the murderer, also handing over the weapon he used. Police are continuing their investigation to fully clarify the circumstances and motives of the murder, while the local community remains in shock. The ballistic examination of the pellets found in the car is expected to shed light on the case.
