Greek Airports Resume Operations After Major Airspace Blackout

Normalcy is gradually returning to Greek airports after an unprecedented 'blackout' in flights caused by serious problems with frequencies in Greek airspace. However, airspace capacity remains limited, resulting in cancellations, delays, and diversions. Specifically, at Athens Airport, 4 flights were canceled, 75 were delayed, and 8 departures returned to their parking positions, while 3 arrivals were diverted to other airports. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport announces partial restoration, allowing the takeoff and landing of some aircraft, while the CAA reports that up to 35 departures and arrivals are being served and transit traffic is partially operating in three sectors. The cause of the problem is under investigation, and it is a technical issue of unprecedented magnitude.
