Colonel Chris Kountouriotis, a Greek-American officer, serves as the Deputy Commander of the Delta Force, an elite unit of the US Special Operations Forces. In this role, he oversees high-risk missions, including counter-terrorism and hostage rescue. He is reportedly led Operation "Absolute Resolve" in Venezuela, which aimed to apprehend President Nicolás Maduro and his wife. Operation "Absolute Resolve" involved a complex military operation with the participation of over 150 aircraft, drones, and helicopters, including the elite "Night Stalkers". The insertion was conducted by helicopter, while simultaneous air strikes were carried out to neutralize Venezuela's defense systems. According to reports, the operation was successful, with Maduro and Flores apprehended and extracted without any US casualties.
