Growth Rates Not Reflected in Lower Income Brackets, Says Paphos Chamber President

The President of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, George Mayes, stated that the growth rates in Cyprus are not adequately reflected in the lower income brackets due to structural issues. Despite the excellent performance of tourism and services in Paphos, housing remains unaffordable for many. Mr. Mayes emphasized the need for government measures for affordable housing and flexible mortgage plans from banks, given the high interest rates. He also mentioned significant investments in technology, energy, and transportation, but also the concerns caused by geopolitical developments and increased government spending.
