GSI: Nexans Threatens €250 Million Lawsuit Against ADMIE Over Interconnection Project

The French company Nexans, the contractor for the Cyprus-Greece electricity interconnection project, is threatening ADMIE, the project implementing agency, with a €250 million lawsuit. Nexans accuses ADMIE of violating key contract terms, including schedules, and has issued an ultimatum until the end of March 2026 for the official start of the project (Full Notice to Proceed). If the deadline expires without approval, Nexans states that it is no longer bound by the contract and may claim damages. ADMIE, for its part, blames the Cypriot regulatory authorities for the delays. Nexans has already manufactured 300 kilometers of cable for the project.
