Guardian: Astypalaia Named Top Destination in the World – “A Quality Island”

Astypalaia has been named a top destination in the world by the Guardian, in its annual list of 50 best travel ideas for 2026. The island stands out as an ideal destination for seaside holidays, offering relaxation, authenticity and timeless beauty. This distinction strengthens the effort of the Municipality of Astypalaia to promote the island as a quality and authentic destination, especially in a period of geopolitical challenges for tourism. The Municipality recently participated in ITB Berlin 2026, holding meetings with tourism professionals from various countries.
