“He Aimed at Me from the Car and I Was Afraid” Said the Perpetrator of the Murder in Aetoloakarnania

Shock remains in the local community of Makryneia in Aetoloakarnania following the murder of the 51-year-old president of the Lithovouni community, Kostas Alexandris. Police investigations are focusing on personal and potentially romantic motives, as the perpetrator allegedly had disagreements with the victim. The 45-year-old perpetrator claims he shot the 51-year-old because he saw him aiming a weapon at him, stating he acted in self-defense, however authorities remain skeptical. Initial findings suggest the perpetrator ambushed the victim and shot him three times, causing the car to veer off the road. A shotgun was found inside the victim's vehicle, while the perpetrator turned himself in and surrendered the weapon used.
