Health Minister Praises Ambulance Service's Invaluable Work

The Minister of Health, Neophytos Charalambides, visited the Ambulance Service Coordination Center and expressed his admiration for the invaluable work of the Ambulance Service. The Head of the Service, Riana Constantinou, stated that their goal is to reduce response times to less than 8 minutes. Currently, the Service has 13 rapid response ambulances. The Minister of Health emphasized that the Ambulance Service is on the front line of emergency response and that its immediate response is often crucial for patients' lives. The Ambulance Service was characterized as having a national role, as it is the only rescue body with healthcare professionals in Cyprus. The Head of the Service assured that they will continue to fight to save lives, while also addressing delays, which are now digitally recorded and explained by the simultaneous handling of multiple emergencies.
