Hearing for Police Shift Allowances Set for February 4th

The hearing for the police shift allowances has been set for February 4th, according to an announcement by the ISOTITA trade union. The Administrative Court has issued instructions for the submission of relevant documents by January 22, 2026, while any objection from the Police side must be filed by February 2, 2026. The ISOTITA trade union held meetings with leaders of AKEL and ELAM, where issues related to shift allowances, as well as other matters concerning the police structure and the increase in crime, were discussed. The trade union seeks to protect the rights of police officers and contribute to the improvement of their working conditions, while also expressing its concern about the increase in crime and the need to strengthen the Police force.
