Industrial Production Increased by 3.5% in October

The Statistical Service announced a 3.5% increase in industrial production in October 2025, compared to October 2024. The Industrial Production Index reached 116.4 units (base 2021=100). During the period January – October 2025, the increase was 3.1% compared to the same period of the previous year. A significant increase was observed in the manufacturing sector (4.3%) and in water supply and recovery (7.4%). Conversely, there was a decrease in electricity supply (-3.4%) and in the mining and quarrying sectors (-1.7%). Within the manufacturing sector, the largest increases were recorded in the production of basic metals and the manufacture of metal products (13.8%), the wood industry (9.9%), the manufacture of rubber and plastic products (8.0%) and the manufacture of furniture (7.4%). On the other hand, the largest decreases were observed in the production of textiles, clothing and leather goods (-6.5%) and in the manufacture of paper and paper products and printing (-5.1%). The overall picture shows a general positive trend in industrial production, with some sectors facing difficulties.
