Iran Protests Continue, Australia Urges Citizens to Leave Amid Clashes

Protests in Iran against the regime continue for the 11th day, with unconfirmed reports of protesters taking control of the city of Abdanan. The National Council of Resistance of Iran claims protesters have taken control of the cities of Abdanan and Malekshahi. Australia is urging its citizens to leave Iran due to the unstable security situation and the risk of arrest, even for those with dual citizenship. The protests, the largest since 2022-2023, have resulted in at least 27 deaths from security forces' gunfire. Two people were killed and 30 injured in armed clashes in southwestern Iran.
