Israel Approves 'Emergency' Funding in Budget for Military Purchases

The Israeli government has approved an 'emergency' fund of $827 million for military purchases, a few weeks after the start of the war with Iran. This fund will be used to purchase ammunition, advanced equipment, and replenish critical combat reserves, due to the intensity of the fighting. The Netanyahu government has not made official announcements regarding specific purchases, but the amount will be drawn from the state budget. Israel is being targeted daily by Iranian ballistic missiles, which it is largely managing to intercept, while Foreign Minister Gideon Saar denied informing the US about shortages in interception systems.
