Kim Jong Un's Daughter Makes First Official Visit to Family Mausoleum

The daughter of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has made her first official public appearance at the family mausoleum, honoring her grandfather and great-grandfather, the former leaders of North Korea. The visit, covered by state media, took place at the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun in Pyongyang, with the teenager flanked by senior party and military officials. Analysts believe this appearance signals Kim Jong Un's attempt to prepare his daughter for a potential succession to leadership. The young girl has been featured in state photographs since 2022, accompanying her father to important events such as missile tests and meetings with foreign leaders. Despite the interest, official information about Kim Jong Un's daughter remains limited. Her age and name have not been made public by state media. However, former basketball player Dennis Rodman, who visited North Korea in the past, has stated that her given name is Ju Ae and she is estimated to be 13 or 14 years old. The Kim family has ruled North Korea since its founding, with the founders and their successors consistently referred to as "eternal leaders" in state propaganda. According to South Korean intelligence, Kim Jong Un's daughter is considered a likely successor and could take power as the fourth generation of the family.
