The investigation into the video that has sparked political controversy is entering a new phase, as former Energy Minister Giorgos Lakkotripis provided evidence to the police during his testimony. Police are evaluating his statement and awaiting scientific reports from relevant departments, including the Cybercrime Subdivision and the Forensic Science Service. No further testimonies from other individuals appearing in the video have been scheduled, but the possibility remains open. The Legal Service is providing systematic guidance to the investigation, with ongoing communication between the Assistant Attorney General and the Chief of Police. However, it is unclear whether these instructions are changing the scope of the investigation or relating to specific offenses. Police clarify that the investigation covers the entire spectrum of the video that has been made public. At the same time, the origin of the 'X' platform account that posted the video is being investigated, without any significant changes to the previous data. The video allegedly records conversations between Mr. Lakkotripis, the Director of the President's Office, Charalambos Charalambous, and the Director of Cyfield, Giorgos Chrysoschos, along with a Dutch investor. The content of the video has provoked strong reactions, as it includes references to funding for electoral purposes and contributions to the First Lady's Fund. The government categorically rejects the content of the video, questioning its authenticity and describing it as an attempt to manipulate public opinion and a hybrid threat.
