Larnaca: Shed Collapses Next to Chapel After Fire

A fire broke out in a shed next to the chapel of Agia Marina in the village of Avdellero, in the province of Larnaca. The Fire Service responded to the call around 10:30 am on Friday and managed to extinguish the fire. The shed was completely destroyed by the fire and collapsed. It was constructed of wooden beams and corrugated iron, which contributed to the rapid spread of the fire. Fire hoses from one fire engine were used to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire remains unknown, as the complete destruction of the shed prevented the drawing of safe conclusions.
