Ένα από τα σοβαρά προβλήματα που αντιμετωπίζει η Βιομηχανική Περιοχή Αγίου Αθανασίου, το οποίο θέτουν οι άμεσα επηρεαζόμενοι σε κάθε συνάντηση με τα αρμόδια υπουργεία και αφορά την ασφάλεια, φαίνεται ότι, έστω και με καθυστέρηση πολλών χρόνων, έχει πάρει το δρόμο της επίλυσής του.
Με ικανοποίηση, ο πρόεδρος του Συνδέσμου Βιομηχάνων Αγίου Αθανασίου, Βάσος Δημητριάδης, αναφέρει ότι η προσπάθεια για δημιουργία επιπρόσθετης εισόδου/εξόδου στη Βιομηχανική Περιοχή, για λόγους ασφαλείας αλλά και κυκλοφοριακής αποσυμφόρησης, προχωρεί με γοργούς ρυθμούς. Αυτό προκύπτει από το γεγονός ότι την περασμένη εβδομάδα ανακοινώθηκε η έγκριση της νέας εξόδου και ήδη το Τμήμα Δημοσίων Έργων προχώρησε στην προκήρυξη της σχετικής σύμβασης.
Η εξέλιξη αυτή, όπως αναφέρει ο κ. Δημητριάδης, επιβεβαιώνει ότι το αίτημα που διαχρονικά προωθεί ο Σύνδεσμος Βιομηχάνων Αγίου Αθανασίου αρχίζει να υλοποιείται, επισημαίνοντας ότι ο Σύνδεσμος θα παρακολουθεί στενά το θέμα και την πρόοδο που θα καταγράφεται. Με αφορμή τη θετική εξέλιξη που υπάρχει στο θέμα της δημιουργίας νέας εξόδου στη Βιομηχανική, ο Σύνδεσμος Βιομηχάνων προτρέπει τις βιομηχανικές μονάδες της περιοχής που δεν είναι ακόμη μέλη να ενταχθούν στον ΣΥΒΙΑΑ, ώστε να ενισχυθεί η κοινή προσπάθεια για προώθηση θεμάτων που αφορούν όλους.
Να σημειωθεί ότι η Βιομηχανική Περιοχή Αγίου Αθανασίου είναι μια από τις πιο ζωντανές και συνεχώς αναπτυσσόμενες βιομηχανικές περιοχές, στην οποία απασχολούνται πέραν των 5.000 εργαζομένων και διακινούνται καθημερινά όλων των τύπων οχήματα και παντός είδους εμπορεύματα.
