Liverpool Target Konstantinos Koulierakis, Battle with Tottenham and Inter

Published February 10, 2026, 09:40

Liverpool is showing strong interest in Greek defender Konstantinos Koulierakis, who plays for Wolfsburg. The 'Reds' see the 22-year-old as an ideal solution to strengthen their defensive line, as well as a potential successor to Virgil van Dijk in the future. Koulierakis has already attracted the attention of other major clubs, such as Tottenham, who have made him a transfer priority, and Inter, who are closely monitoring developments. However, Wolfsburg maintains control of the situation, as Koulierakis is under contract with them until 2029. To acquire him, Liverpool or one of the other interested parties will need to pay a fee estimated between £30 and £39 million. Koulierakis moved to Wolfsburg from PAOK in the summer of 2024 for around €12 million and has already made 18 appearances in all competitions. The young defender has shown stability and maturity in his game, which has strengthened the interest of major clubs in acquiring him. The possibility of seeing him play in the Premier League, either for Liverpool or Tottenham, seems increasingly likely.
