Major Energy Infrastructure in the Gulf Targeted Since Start of War

Energy infrastructure in the Gulf has been targeted by attacks since the start of the war between the US, Israel, and Iran on February 28th. The world's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) production facility, located in Qatar, has sustained significant damage from Iranian attacks, raising fears about global energy supplies. Saudi Arabia: A refinery in Yanbu was hit by a drone. Qatar: The Ras Laffan facility has been repeatedly attacked with significant damage. Iran: Israeli attacks have targeted the offshore South Pars gas production facility. Also, the oil export terminal on Kharg Island has been targeted. These attacks have raised concerns about the security of energy flows in the region and the potential for further escalation of the conflict. The damage to the Qatari facility, which is a major LNG supplier, is particularly worrying.
