Napoli: ‘Ban’ of Two Matches for Conte

Napoli coach Antonio Conte has been banned for two matches in the Italian league after being sent off in the derby against Inter. The dismissal was due to insulting the referees after a penalty was awarded to Inter. In addition, the Serie A disciplinary committee recorded that Conte kicked a ball near the pitch and approached the fourth official in a threatening manner, repeating abusive expressions. Conte will miss Napoli’s postponed match against Parma, as well as the home game against Sassuolo. Napoli is currently in third place in Serie A with 39 points, four less than league leaders Inter. Conte’s ban comes at a critical time for the team, as it tries to stay in touch with the top of the league.
