NASA Discovers New Type of Celestial Object: The 'Cloud-9'

NASA has discovered a new type of celestial object, named 'Cloud-9'. It is a vast cloud of hydrogen and dark matter, with a mass billions of times that of the Sun, but invisible to the naked eye. Researchers suspect that Cloud-9 is the primordial embryo of a galaxy that failed to fully evolve, possibly due to an insufficient concentration of hydrogen. This discovery provides valuable insights into the evolution of galaxies and the role of dark matter in their formation. Dark matter, an invisible and mysterious substance that makes up 85% of the matter in the Universe, is believed to have played a crucial role in the formation of the first galaxies by attracting hydrogen through gravity. Cloud-9 differs from other known hydrogen clouds around our galaxy, as it is smaller and more spherical. It has a diameter of approximately 4,900 light-years and is located 14 million light-years away, on the outskirts of the Messier 94 galaxy. It was initially discovered with the Chinese FAST radio telescope, but the absence of stars inside it was confirmed with the Hubble Space Telescope. The study of Cloud-9, published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters, offers a unique opportunity to better understand the conditions that prevailed in the early Universe and how galaxies formed. This discovery highlights the complexity and diversity of the Universe and the need for further research.
