New Innovative Distance Learning Master's in Technology Law from the University of Frederick

The University of Frederick has announced the launch of a new, innovative Master's program (LLM) in Technology Law, which will be offered remotely and in Greek. The program covers current legal issues arising from Artificial Intelligence, Data Protection (GDPR), Cybersecurity, the Digital Economy, and Blockchain technology. It has been certified by the Cyprus Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CQAHE) and is the only LLM of its kind offered remotely in Cyprus and Greece. The program's evaluation by an external committee highlighted its excellent design, alignment with modern challenges and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), and its interdisciplinary nature. The committee emphasized the bridge the program creates between law and technology, fostering analytical thinking in a European and international context. The program's academic staff is characterized by a high level of expertise in law and technology, while its research activity and collaborations with other universities enhance its quality. Instructors come from the University of Frederick, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the University of Roehampton in London. Dr. Konstantinos Kouroupis, Associate Professor at the Law Department of the University of Frederick and expert of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), emphasizes the importance of technology law in modern legal practice, as new technologies transform society and the economy. The program aims to prepare legal professionals for the challenges of the digital age.
