Nexans: Changes Will Affect GSI Project Delivery Date

The French company Nexans announced that a new scheduling of activities for the Great Sea Interconnector (GSI) will affect the project's delivery date. The company is working closely with its client to evaluate the best available options for a revised schedule. Despite the changes, Nexans assures that it is executing the project in accordance with its contractual obligations and the milestones set since 2023. The company remains committed to completing the project, which it considers critical. Nexans states that the changes will impact the delivery date but will not affect its financial forecasts for 2028, due to the large backlog of work it has and the proactive steps it has taken to offset potential impacts. The 2026 forecasts will be announced along with the 2025 results in February 2026. The CEO of Nexans, Julien Hueber, stated that the company is fully dedicated to supporting its client in completing the GSI project and is managing the situation with discipline, while maintaining its financial course stable.
