Netanyahu Accepts Trump's Invitation to Join Peace Council

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accepted an invitation from US President Donald Trump to join the 'Peace Council,' an initiative aimed at resolving conflicts. The council will consist of global leaders and will aim to promote stability and peace in areas affected by conflict. However, the participation of Turkey and the Palestinian Authority in the council has drawn criticism from Netanyahu. The 'Peace Council' was initially designed to rebuild Gaza, but its charter is broader and includes resolving other conflicts. Participation in the council requires a financial contribution of up to $1 billion for a permanent seat. France has already stated that it will not participate. Alongside the 'Peace Council,' Trump plans to establish a 'Gaza Executive Council' with the participation of Turkish and Qatari officials, which has worsened relations between Israel and Turkey. Also, a committee of Palestinian technocrats has been established to oversee the administration of Gaza. Trump's initiative has provoked mixed reactions, with some seeing it as a hopeful effort to resolve conflicts, while others express doubts about its effectiveness and potential complications.
