Optimistic Outlook for Good Water Inflows Until End of March, “Better Position Than Last Year”

The Water Development Department (WDD) expresses optimism for good water inflows into the dams until the end of March, as forecasts predict rain. Water inflow in the last three days amounts to 2 million cubic meters, with a significant increase over the weekend. Forecasts indicate that inflow will remain high, exceeding one million cubic meters per day, after Thursday. The WDD estimates that last year's low reserves will be surpassed, while the situation in the province of Nicosia is particularly improved. Some dams, such as Tamassos, Klerou, Solia, Kalopanagiotis and Pomos, have already overflowed or are expected to overflow soon.
