Orthodox Church Celebrates the Synaxis of the Seventy Apostles

Today, January 4th, the Orthodox Church honors the Synaxis of the Seventy Apostles, the disciples of Christ who preached the Gospel throughout the world. Their memory highlights the missionary character of the Church and the spread of faith from its earliest days.
