Outcry on Social Media: Adonis Georgiadis Denies Connection to 'Neoliberal' Troll

Greece's Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, is at the center of an online dispute after accusations that he maintains a second, anonymous account on X (formerly Twitter). User @RamboJJ71 accused Georgiadis of using a pseudonym and that his real name is Spyridon, which the minister denied by publishing photos of his ID. The response from the @Fileleftheros23 account to Georgiadis's post raised suspicions that it was an alternative account of the minister or his associate, with many users accusing him of political motives. Georgiadis categorically denied any connection to the account, calling the allegations an “non-existent event” and asking journalist Yannis Karamitsos to take down his “conspiracy-laden” post. At the same time, Georgiadis expressed the view that anonymous accounts should be banned. The dispute has sparked a debate about the toxicity of social media and the need for accountability in expressing opinions.
