Over 30,000 Animals Culled as Foot-and-Mouth Vaccination Progresses

Foot-and-mouth disease vaccinations are progressing rapidly in Cyprus. The first dose vaccination rate has reached 98% of the cattle population and 76% of the sheep and goat population. For the second dose, the vaccination rate is 37.6% for cattle and 10.6% for sheep and goats. No new cases of the disease have been reported so far. Simultaneously, 28,516 sheep and goats and 1,910 cattle have been culled due to the disease.
